SITE’s team consists of experienced professionals with extensive backgrounds in technical services, peacebuilding, and social development. Our experts bring diverse skill sets, from data collection, research, M&E and project management, to Financial analysis, Auditing, Financial Reporting & Compliance, as well as capacity development and career coaching. Our Expert Team’s Achievement:

  1. Human Rights Management System Development: Co-developed and designed a Human Rights Management System for the Ministry of Women, Family Affairs, and Human Rights Development in Southwest State, Somalia. This system unifies the management and reporting of human rights cases. 
  2. UNSCR 1325 Local Action Plan: Co-wrote and reviewed the Local Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (UNSCR 1325) for Southwest State, Somalia, to address gender equality and promote women’s participation in peace processes.
  3. Capacity Building for Women Leaders: Trained and empowered women leaders, promoting their inclusion in executive, legislative, and judicial decision-making bodies at both the federal and regional levels in Somalia.
  4. GBV One-Stop Centre: Established a comprehensive one-stop centre for GBV survivors, including the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), referral mechanisms, and a database to ensure data integrity and provide holistic survivor support.
  5. Community-Level Peacebuilding Initiatives: Facilitated initiatives engaging traditional elders, religious leaders, and women’s networks to strengthen their roles in peacebuilding and local governance.
  6. Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) Data Collection and Training: Developed systems for CRSV data collection and provided training for stakeholders in early warning and response mechanisms, producing actionable reports that inform policies and programs.
  7. Women’s Representation and Peace Processes: Mapped and documented local initiatives to support women’s representation, operationalizing the National Action Plan (NAP) on UNSCR 1325, and enhancing women’s participation in peace processes.
  8. Human Rights and Legislative Coordination Dialogues: Organized national and regional dialogues between civil society organizations (CSOs) and government entities to advance human rights monitoring and legislative coordination across Southwest State, Somalia.
